#2 Energy Tool - The Protection Rose

Learning to create a space of protection around your energy field, also called the aura, or etheric body, is a wonderful thing to do. Your aura radiates out about 18 inches to 2 feet all around you, in front, behind, to the sides, above and below your physical body. The aura is an information bank containing all there is to know about you, even from past lives. It is amorphous and when unprotected it is easily permeated by the thoughts and emotions of others. With a little care, you can protect your space, your personal energy field, from being bombarded with energies that are not yours.

Begin by holding your arm straight out in front of you, bending your wrist until the palm of your hand is facing you. Your hand is now at the perimeter of your aura – assuming you’re a healthy and relatively happy being. Let your body turn in place, in a circle, holding your hand out in this way and you will easily see and define the space that belongs to your personal energy field. Everything within that circle you just drew around your self is mostly you. There may be some energies in that space that aren’t 100% you, that have been placed there by others, and that is dealt with in my article on grounding. For now let’s assume it’s mostly you contained within your energy field, and that you’d like to prevent other energies that aren’t yours from entering therein.

Enter the Protection Rose. Put your hand out in front of you again at arms length, and imagine you are holding a rose in your hand. The rose can be any color, and it’s about 12 inches in length including the stem. Imagine that rose just being there in your hand. Now close your eyes and continue to imagine it being there. Now let your arm down, and allow the image of the rose to remain. Again, open your eyes, imagine the rose is still there in front of you. If you are not good at visualizing or imagining, just set an intention for the rose to be there, and feel the energy of it being there.

Again open your eyes, and look at whatever you see beyond the rose, keeping the rose in place. Everything you are seeing beyond the rose is not you. Everything from the rose in -to the center of your heart is you.

Next imagine a rose out at arms length to your left side,  keeping the one in front of you where it is. And then another to your right side, and then one more behind you at the same distance. Now imagine it is all really the same rose, and it is circling around you at a very high rate of speed, like an electron moves around an atom. It is going so fast you don’t even see it’s motion, you just see the individual roses at the 4 points where they were created. Feel the feeling of being contained within this energy circle. Everything inside this circle of energy is your space, everything outside of it is the dream, the movie, the theater of the absurd. Begin to notice how good it feels to have your own space defined.

The next thing to learn is how to allow it to be flexible when others come close enough

 to you to penetrate your space. If your aura is out 2 feet from your body, and someone else’s aura is around their body about the same distance, at 4 feet your auras are just beginning to touch. If they take one more step towards you, their energy field will have penetrated yours, unless you bring in your energy field closer to you. The best way to do this is to imagine your protection rose, moving toward you until it is halfway between you and the other person. Now your energy field is still contained, it’s just closer to you. No matter how close to you that person moves, you can always place your protection rose at a distance of halfway between you and them, thereby keeping your space protected. As they move away from you, allow your rose to move back out to the edge of your auric field, but no further. All of this gives you the choice, the option of allowing someone else’s energy into your space, or not. Without the rose, anyone can penetrate your space and there’s not much you can do about it.

This process is fun to do, and to make it real takes some practice. It is good to practice with it when it isn’t seriously needed. That way you make it more real, and when the time comes your really need it, it will be there in form and consciousness for you to use.

Practice it wherever you go where there are people. Try going to the supermarket, activate your rose at the door, and go inside and just walk around. Save your shopping until later. Practice passing people with your protection rose up, drawing it in when you get too close. Notice how people are around you when you have your rose up...are they smiling more, moving out of your way? Try some casual conversation with the checker: “Hi, how are you today?” “Busy today?” Notice how different life is when you use a protection rose. Most of all, have fun with it and be happy. Nothing is more important than feeling good.
